Tieks for Teachers Giveaway!!!! Get Ready To Be Comfy!

I.am.so.excited!  Why? Because I have been keeping a special secret from you for the past couple of weeks………
Have you heard of tieks?  If not, be prepared for your teaching life as you know it to change. You will soon be in LOVE! 
Tieks are designer flats that are made from real Italian leather. They are ballet shoes that have been redesigned for the modern woman.  And people…I am officially obsessed with these shoes.  
Many of you know that I am barely 5 feet tall.  I like to tell people I’m 5 feet tall because it sounds better than saying I’m 4 feet and 11 inches. Shhhh. We’ll just keep that between the two of us. Being short, I’ve always always worn heels to school. That’s right. Heels. I would get home and want to throw my shoes out the window because my feet hurt so much.  Then, earlier this year, I tried a pair of tieks. 
Oh.my.word.  I now teach in slippers, just so you know. That is what tieks feel like – only they are really, really cute!! Can you imagine spending your whole day teaching in total comfiness ? (I made that word up, but these shoes deserve a made-up word.)  It makes me super, super happy to wear my tieks to school everyday.  And everyday is not an exaggeration. 🙂
Now, tieks are a bit pricey, so I need to explain something before I continue so that you don’t think I’ve totally jumped off the deep-end.
I generally do not splurge on shoes. I don’t splurge on clothes. I’m a “walk fast-fast-fast-to the back of the store-because that’s where the sales are” type of girl.  But when I discovered tieks, I decided that the comfort level of these shoes far, far outweigh the cost.  They are SO well made.
I splurged on some pairs for spring and summer and spent a long time pouring over the MANY gorgeous colors in their boutique to pick out which ones I wanted! I am traveling a lot this summer and presenting workshops, as well.  I wanted some summer shoes that I could stand and walk around in all day long without my feet hurting.
I ended up with: Mustard Yellow (so cute with navy blue clothes!), Fuschia, and Mint.  Surprisingly, all three colors go with everything!! The bright, fun colors add the perfect pop to my outfits!

The shoes have a cushion on the back instead of elastic like most flats have.  Unlike other shoes, I never get a blister when wearing these flats.  The pretty tiek blue soles are also rubberized. This makes them non-skid and provides a solid padding on the bottom. Conclusion: total bliss


I love the box they come in!  Each pair of tieks folds up to fit nicely in your purse!  In the winter, I would wear my boots to school and then slip into my black tieks when I got into my classroom.  The way they fold makes them super convenient for the on-the-go teacher.


Here are my mint tieks! I’ve worn them so far with jeans, dresses, and skirts. They can go with any color because the contrast looks so great!  I love them for spring!
The customer service at tieks is fantastic! If you don’t like them or they end up just not fitting right, they will pay to have them shipped back! The sizes, however, are very true to the size you would typically wear.  I ordered the size I wear in tennis shoes and they fit perfectly!
Each order comes with a handwritten note from a tieks employee.  
I think these are THE best shoes for teachers! Standing on your feet all day can be exhausting.  Our little ones do not stop, and as early childhood teachers, neither do we!  Investing in comfortable shoes (Have I mentioned yet that they are SOOO comfy!?!?) has been completely worth it to me!

  9. This is such an amazing giveaway! I totally agree with your comment about how they are worth the cost. I bought my first pair a few years ago and they quickly became my favorite shoes. I started out with a conservative color (brown), but I've now become obsessed with all the fun, bright colors and love adding the pop of color to my outfits.

  12. Wow, such a great giveaway. I had foot surgery in December and could really use some comfy shoes that look professional (right now I wear tennis shoes to teach in daily). The pop pink are so cute! I'd either go with those or a more classic color like black.

  131. I would like the matte black or clover green. My great grandmother was 4'11'' and my mom called her "Baby Grandma" so she wasn't calling both grandmothers "Grandma." The grandfather that was married to Baby Grandma was called Baby Grandpa even though he wasn't short.
