Wordless Wednesday: January 14th

Do your students self-assess their understanding of key standards and concepts? We choose a new focus standard every few weeks. Students move their magnets up the learning ladder according to how well they are understanding the concept!

  1. I love your posters, but in middle school, we have moved away from this because middle schoolers will save face at all costs and will never admit they are on a novice level even if they are. So while we still have scales, they are tied to evidence of each level. For example, if a student scores 80% or better on the level 2 work, then they are on a level 2. I wish middle schoolers had the innocence of younger grades and would be ok with not always being the best!
