Wordless Wednesday – Packing Up!
This week, I put a timer up on my Smart Board while we were packing up for the day. If every friend was sitting at their desk by the time the bell went off on the timer, they got 1 minute of chit chat time! You would have thought that little “prize” was equivalent to one million dollars. #itsthelittlethings

I put the music video for "Let It Go" up on the SMARTboard. They have until the song is over to be in their seats with everything packed up. If everyone is, they get a tally mark on the board. Five tally marks=15 minutes of free time the next day! Last year, everyone was done before the song was halfway done because they wanted to listen to it. 🙂 This year however, I have a lot of slow pokes!
I give them one "fun song" from Pandora Kids Bop and tell them to clean-up pack-up. They are finished and lined up for specials by the end of one song. They are dancing and productive. I LOVE IT!
