THIS RESOURCE IS EDITABLE!

This download contains editable magic word cards so that you can type your own words, change, add, differentiate, and fully customize your set of cards! You can also create additional word sets so that you can keep playing and practicing over and over again.

EASY PREP!

Prepping these magic word cards is easy! For each pack, you’ll add a letter or suffix to the beginning or end of each word card using an invisible ink pen such as the ones found here. (Specific directions for each set are included.) To see the new word, students can use the light that is attached to the pen, or you can provide a UV flashlight such as the these.

Differentiated Recording Sheets!

You can choose from a shortened version of this activity with a 10-word recording sheet, or a 20-word recording sheet if you’d like to provide more practice. Each version (10 words or 20 words) comes with various templates. Boxes, lines, and handwriting lines are all included as options. This activity makes a great Fun Friday activity, too!

After your students record all of the new words they created. They will read their list of words on the recording sheet for additional fluency practice.
