Our Daily Schedule Linky Party! & My New Sweeties :)
Oh.My.Goodness. I’ll be honest. I really thought after only being in second grade for two years everything about first grade would immediately come back to me within five minutes of them being in the room. I.was.wrong. I had a slight panic attack on my first day of school after realizing it was going to take me a week or so to adjust again. I sent my last students away in May as third graders and yesterday, 25 “kindergartners” walked into my room.
But, they are SO, SO sweet. I absolutely love them. Don’t get me wrong. It’s going to be unlike any of the three first grade classes I’ve had in the past. I have the inclusion room this year for the first time…let’s just say we have a lot of work to do this year in addition to breaking lots of “chatty” behaviors.
The past two days have been a whirlwind of:
“That’s the other Cameron’s mailbox. Your name has a y in it.”
“No, that’s a binder, not a folder. Take your red folder out.”
“You can’t find your lunch box? It’s in your hand.”
“Put your eyes on Miss DeCarbo…I mean, Mrs. Wagers.”
🙂 I love first grade. There is no denying that it is by far the funniest grade to be in.
I haven’t been able to take any classroom photos yet so I decided I would share with you our daily classroom schedule. I always think it’s interesting to see other teachers’ schedules, so I’ve created a fun linky party! I’ve often gained a lot of insight and ideas just from checking out other people’s schedules, so I hope you can join in and share your day with us!
Here is my classroom schedule this year:

My dream job would be to travel around the country creating and decorating classroom themes for teachers. I know – not very practical. So instead, I’ll…
