More Disguised Turkeys and Stories :)

We are officially on Thanksgiving break! The girls and I had a late practice last night with our choreographer for competition and I was so tired by the time I got home.  I was excited to be able to sleep in today.  Today was w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l!  After I woke up late, I took Weston to the groomers so that he would be ready for turkey day tomorrow.  Doesn’t he look great?!

I swung by Starbucks and then headed to Kohls for a little shopping.  It was such a relaxing day! I’m finishing up a new TpT product for Reading Intervention that I’m so excited to share with you!  It should be finished by tomorrow.  🙂

I know I already posted about disguised turkeys, but I had to share some of the cute stories my students wrote about their turkeys yesterday!  Here are a few of my favorites:

“My turkey disgused himself as a vegetable tray.  His name is Dino the Vegetable Tray. He went to float down the Nile River.  He is safe from being eaten. The end.”  (I have no idea where the Nile River bit came from haha!)
“My turkey’s name is Leona. Leona did not want to be eaten so she is disguised as a beautiful princess and went in a carriage to her new castle.”
“Buttercup the Butterfly disguised as a Butterfly. She flew away to get away from Thanksgiving She is a butterfly. She is going to be a ladybug next year.” (Her beginning is a little random but I loved her ending.  We have been talking about how “close” or “wrap up” a story.)

“My turkey’s name is Rose. The butterfly is part of her disguise.  She loves hiding in a field of sunflowers. She was hiding in a sunflower bed.  The hunter was close to the field.  The hunter did not see her. The turkey was safe til next year.  Then she get eaten on Thanksgiving.” (This little girl decided her turkey’s fate for next Thanksgiving.) 🙂
I hope everyone has a great and relaxing Thanksgiving tomorrow! 🙂 Be sure to swing by TpT and fill up your shopping carts to get ready for the BIG Cyber Monday and Tuesday sale!  Tons of bloggers are offering huge discounts.  Everything in my store will be 20% off! 🙂 PLUS use the code on the picture below to snag an extra 8% off.  That’s 28% off of everything! 🙂
