Description
Included in this freebie pack are 5 word building printables with a Valentine’s Day theme! Students cut out the letters to create words. They must also find the “secret” word which uses all of the letters provided. The adorable picture on each page gives students a hint about the “secret” word! The pack also includes vocabulary cards for students to use as a reference to uncover the secret word.
I often use word builders as part of my word work stations. It is important for students to not only understand how letters and sounds work together, but they need to be able to manipulate the letters and sounds to construct both real and nonsense words.
Use these in your word work centers, early finishers, as homework, morning work, or in a small group or whole class setting. These are perfect for first and second graders, struggling third graders, or can be used in an inclusion setting. I hope you find these useful and fun for your students! Enjoy!
