Wordless Wednesday November 19th: Turkey Beginnings

We started to work on our our narrative turkey stories yesterday. I am loving the beginning of their stories so far!
My question: What’s your favorite type of writing to teach? Narratives, informative, or opinion pieces?

  1. I love them all! In regards to your question, is that cheating? Do I have to pick only one? 😉 I say "all of them" because they allow me to see the different aspects of each child's writing abilities. Thanks for hosting the link up! I gave a shout-out reminder of the link up on my IG account. 😉

  2. I prefer informative writing while my students prefer narratives. I like the structure and factual, detail focus rather than the imaginative, creative story focus. Now when it comes to reading… I'm all about the narrative… never mind informational reading! Blech! LOL!

Off to check out more Wordless Wednesdays…. LOVE this linky! Thanks for hosting it!

  3. Great start to a story! I like all of them really. If I had to pick one, I think it would be informative. I love seeing the words they come up with to tell me facts about the topics we have been studying. In kinder they can't always remember those "big" scientific words so it can be quite comical. Thanks for hosting this great linky!
