Wordless Wednesday: May 21st

We are having so much fun reviewing character traits this week with The Berenstain Bears! These were a childhood favorite of mine! (I also l-o-v-e-d The Babysitter’s Club and pretty much owned the entire collection!)
What classic series of books did you enjoy as a child?

  1. Sweet.valley.high. I still remember my favorite one about a beach vacation and a missing ruby on the beach that lead to murder and excitement. I think it was the college version. I love babysitters club. Absolutely my favorite series were those ones. I love working on character traits at this time of the year. I think next year we will do it early and take pics of our charts to synthesize at the end of the year by doing it again and see how much we learned and how our thinking changed…. thanks for the post! First one this week!!! yay me!

  2. I LOVE the Berenstain Bears! They teach SUCH great lessons. When I was little, my favorite chapter book was Harriet the Spy. I think there was a whole summer that I hid in cabinets and closets and "spied" on my family. Haha!

  3. Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. The Hardy Boys even had a TV program each week. Shaun Cassidy made a really cute Joe! 🙂

  4. Definitely loved the Babysitters Club too. When I worked further up the school I loved sharing these with the girls I taught and hearing how much they liked them. Sweet Valley Twins and The Famous Five were also firm favourites! Might have to get them out and start reading them all again…!

  5. I think the Babysitter's Club is what got me to LOVE reading so much. Once I started one, I could not put it down. Hmmm…come to think of it….maybe that is when my OCD started 🙂
