Every summer I choose a few professional development books to read.
Speech to Print by Louisa Cook Moats and The Comprehension Experience: Engaging Readers Through Inquiry and Discussion are the ones for this summer!
What will you be reading this summer?
I'm going to try to read the daily 5 math book. I'm hoping to get more organized with math. We are using enVision next year so I'm excited to plan. Can you share any other detailed posts or pictures of your wipe on and off math? Maybe instagram me? I'm preparing as you are for next year all ready and would live to do all of this while I have volunteers. 🙂
I am teaching math next year (from MS language arts) and we use enVision.
I'm excited to read Reading in the Wild by Donalyn Miller, and to be part of Catherine's book study!
I've got Words Their Way, a book about Whole Brain Teaching, and six adolescent paperbacks (English Festival selections for junior high) on my docket for this summer. Can't wait to dig in! Two more alarm clocks!

I'm going to reread Daily 5 and PBL in the Elementary Grades. I read both during the year but feel like I need a refresher!
Mrs. Spriggs’ Kindergarten Pond
This summer I will be reading the 2014 Children's Authors and Illustrators Market. I have a few ideas for some children's books. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to get published! 🙂
