Wordless Wednesday: July 16th – Always Prepared

Now that I’m home from Vegas and vacations are over for the summer, we can continue our regularly scheduled program….aka….”life.” 🙂
Here we go!
If you have a blog, link up with me by putting the linky button above in your post, linking back to my blog, and sharing an interesting photo with us! Don’t forget to ask your blog followers a fun question that they can answer by leaving you a comment! 🙂
I packed a glue stick in my suitcase to Vegas.
What crazy thing do you bring with you on a trip or have in your purse that screams, “I’m a teacher!!”??
P.S. My name tag fell apart before the blogger meet-up.

  1. My purse is always seems to have a random trinket or toy I took up during the school day. When I am in the middle of teaching I always stick whatever I take up in my pocket and it always ends up going from my pocket to my purse or the cup holder in my car. Hah!

  2. Store clerks always chuckle when I go into my purse for a pen and pull out a fat red or purple Crayola marker– they are my favorite writing tools. Small ziploc baggies of one dollar bills and quarters left over from our most recent city bus field trip are often found in there as well. And, of course, there is a collection of small toys which seem to propagate in the dark recesses of my book bag… dice, stray marker caps, centimeter cubes, small rubber duckies… I'm sure I could win on Let's Make a Deal 🙂 Thanks for the question and the linky! 3. I always have a sharpie in my purse! I can usually find a binder clip and some paper clips. I have bandaids, Tide with Bleach pens, and empty ziplock bags. When we went on vacation to Hawaii a few years ago I returned with a shoe box full of ziplock bags. Each held sand from a different beach we visited. All the sand was different and I made a display of it later.

  4. Just a few days ago, the customer checking out in front of me at a store asked the clerk if she had a Sharpie. He wanted to write the amount of a gift card on it. She didn't, so I handed him one from my purse. The clerk and the customer thought it was a big deal. Not teachers I guess…

  5. I am just amazed you got through baggage check with something gun-shaped in your luggage!! We may have been asked to write glowing statements about your wonderful character or at least take up a collection to bail you out. Both of which I would have done ……. In a pinch. 🙂

  6. I don't get to travel on planes very much, but whenever I'm going somewhere for an extended period of time I simply MUST bring a huge box of Crayola crayons along with activities that need to be colored. Oh, and I always seem to be dragging around a stack of lamination that needs to be cut out!! Thanks for hosting such a great linky!!

  7. My roommate and I have random plastic coins, paperclips, counters, and pattern blocks on top of our dryer that we have found in out pockets while doing laundry. Funny! Good thing you packed your glue gun. 🙂

  8. I once paid a cashier with what I thought was 3 dollar bills, only it was 2 dollar bills and a sheet of glittery smiley face stickers. I ended up giving her a sticker after the laughter died down ?

  9. That is awesome! It wouldn't have surprised me to read that y'all had a midnight craft session! I carry my chime (Responsive Classroom) in my purse. I don't know why, I guess I just forgot to take it out and put it away. I've actually used it a bunch to get my kids' attention, so I just left it in there!
