School Supply Organization & Freebie Labels!

Yesterday, I told you about how I gave my word work cabinet a makeover at school.  Today, I tackled my school supply cabinet.

I have the inclusion classroom for our first grade, and I work with an amazing intervention specialist.  Because we are both working with the kids, it’s important that my classroom is highly organized so that she can find and help herself to any materials she may need.  At the beginning of the year, I can remember hearing her ask, “Where do you keep the _______?”  I knew that for next year, I needed to organize my supplies better.  (I was using the old “throw everything in my desk” method and it wasn’t working haha.

I usually have the kids keep their “extra” school supplies in a baggie that we store in crates. When they needed something new, they simply got into their baggie and retrieved it.  This is hard, however, because the majority of my kids do not come to school with extra supplies.  Next year, I’ll be collecting ALL of the supplies the kids bring to school and storing them together. I’m hoping that having everything in one spot will make things easier on everyone. 🙂

Here is my School Supply Cabinet makeover picture:

You can find the labels I created FREE in my Teachers Pay Teachers shop by clicking {HERE} or clicking the picture below.  The labels are available in two options: a picture only, and a picture with words.  I hope you enjoy! 🙂
I have 5 days of school left and I’m SO excited!  We leave for vacation right after our teacher work day, and I can’t wait to have the time to start and finish a good book by the beach. 🙂
Happy Learning,
