Peek At My Week! Visual Lesson Plans (A Hot – or Cold – Mess)

Last week, you were all SO sweet about letting me share my lesson plans with you.  I found out it wasn’t so scary after all! Thank you for those of you who emailed me such nice comments about downloading my plans! You made my day! 🙂

I’m linking up my plans again with DeeDee from Mrs. Wills Kindergarten even though they are a HOT MESS (Or a cold mess since it’s freezing in Ohio!).  You’ll notice that today’s plans look a lot like last Friday’s plans because we had a snow day Friday!  And guess what? Today we have ANOTHER snow day!  Since I’m not about to re-write my plans for the third time, I’m planning on sticking to my plans as much as possible and squeezing in today’s activities throughout the week.  ….yeah…we’ll see how that goes haha.  We’re supposed to have an even colder day tomorrow so there’s a chance we also won’t be back until Wednesday or Thursday!  If that happens, I won’t be sharing these same plans again next week haha.  Just keep in mind we could be playing catch up for awhile!

If and when we ever get to make our purple cows from my States of Matter unit, I’ll share pictures of the unit for you! 🙂 Fingers crossed that we get to do this experiment this week! I’m tired of looking at a huge tub of ice cream in my fridge.

Here is what we are supposed to do this week! 🙂  I even attached my small group reading plans for you!  (Can you tell I am snowed in and had more time on my hands than usual?!)

Click on any of the pictures below to download my plans from Google Docs.
The downloaded PDF file will contain clickable links to all of the products and units I am using this week. 🙂 (The pictures below will not give you the links. You have to download the plans in order to get the clickable links.) 🙂
*Note: If you see a standard such as 1.NBT.4 #3, that means it is an assessment for our standards based report cards.  We give 3 assessments for each standard on the nine week report card. Students have three opportunities to show mastery of the concept. 🙂

I’m going to brave the cold and go visit my sweet grandpa! 🙂
Stay warm and as always –

  1. We have a snow day/ wind chill day in Columbus. I feel the same way about playing catch up for a while…We had a snow day last Tuesday and delay starts the rest of the week. Fun times in Ohio. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day off!!! 🙂

  2. Even without snow days…my reading plans for Mon/Tues read simply, "See Thurs/Fri" I have no idea what happened to us last week!

    Your lesson plans are great!

  3. I really like how your social studies and science are incorporated into writer's workshop. I think this is such a good idea. I feel like my first graders don't get enough time to write. Writing about non-fiction would be so good for them. I might have to share this idea with my team. Your lessons look great by the way!

I found your blog through Mrs. Wills “Peek at My Week” Linky. It is so helpful to look at other teacher’s plans and see how I can better my own.
Would love for you to head over and check out my blog and peek at my week!
