October Math Games for Common Core

What an exciting weekend!  I’m finally typing this blog post in our new house. 🙂  It feels wonderful!! My husband and I are definitely blessed with amazing family and friends who helped us move all weekend.  We are so, so happy but also so, so exhausted!

Tonight I wanted to share a product that I posted last week but did not get to share with you yet on my blog: October Write On/Wipe Off Math Games. This pack contains 5 fun and adorable math games for Common Core!  When these games are placed in a sheet protector, they become instant write on/wipe off math centers for your students.  My kiddos l-o-v-e using their dry erase markers to play these independent math games while I teach small groups.

Each game is correlated to the First Grade Common Core standards. Although they are aligned to first grade CCSS, they would be great games for advanced kindergartners, struggling second graders, or intervention students.  Here is a sneak peek at a few of the games in this pack. 🙂
Games included:  Counting On, One More/One Less, Show a Number, 3 Addend Addition, and Draw It With Base 10 Blocks
The pack includes simple number cards that students use for each game.  You could also use dice in exchange for the cards.  I’ve also used these “by myself” math games for sub days.  My students simply keep an empty sheet protector in their math folder.  When we want to play a game, I copy the game and they slip it into the sheet protector.  Voila! Instant math review and an easy, cheesy sub day activity! 🙂
(Sorry for the glare! 🙂

You can check out these not-spooky-at-all Halloween math games by clicking HERE.  If you’re new to my blog, here are a couple of other Halloween packs I have that you might enjoy! 🙂 I know I am so excited to start planning our Halloween activities already – fall is one of my favorite times of the year!

I’ll give away 5 of my October Write On/Wipe Off Math Games for free to the first 5 people to leave a comment with their email address below. 🙂  I am off to grade some papers and finally relax for a few minutes this weekend. 🙂 Happy Fall!
