Goodbye Classroom…(Before & After Pictures!)

Tonight I decided to clean out the memory card of my camera while I was making a slideshow of our inventions.  I was having way too much fun looking through all of my old pictures!  I found some adorable pictures from my first grade classroom but I will save that for another day.

Our wonderful technology teacher dropped off some boxes for me the other day because I will be moving rooms when I switch back to first grade next year.  I’m soo excited to teach first again but I will admit I was a little sad yesterday when I realized I have to pack up my current room.

Take a look at my “Before” and “After” pictures of when I moved into my current classroom, Room 135, just two years ago!  There is nothing more fun to me than putting a classroom together from scratch and I’ll get to do that again this summer! I know some people dread this but how can you not have fun designing and playing around with a fun and colorful layout for your room?!

Before…
(I took these pictures the first day I walked into my new room.)

After!…

(Hollywood Theme!)

Thanks for letting me share some of my “before” and “after” pictures tonight.  I am already looking forward to next year’s “classroom makeover” in my first grade classroom! πŸ™‚

  2. Hey! I am taking two classes this summer, but depending on the details/date, I'd be interested in an Ohio get-together. πŸ™‚ Thanks for popping by! I'm excited to find a new blog!

  3. Love your room and the built in cubbies for the kiddos! I miss having those! I'm moving this year too! I'm heading to fourth and looking forward to setting up my room as well. I had to move schools/grade levels days before school started last year and never really loved what I did.

  4. I’m doing a Hollywood theme this year.. can you explain how your β€œBox Office Behavior” B.B. worked? Thx

    1. It used to work just like a clip chart but instead of going vertically up and down the chart they moved to the different popcorn boxes. πŸ™‚
