Five for Friday: My {Busy} Week In Pictures!

I’m linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching today to share a snapshot of my week with you and a NEW TpT product that I’m really excited about!
On Monday I gave a workshop on Oral Language and Writing at a local county in-service.  My sweet friend Amanda from One Extra Degree was presenting, too.  I got to sit in on her session and she was just as amazing as I knew she would be! 🙂
Yesterday, I planned and led a full day of in-service work for a nearby school district to help them with new ELA curriculum maps. It was an amazing day and I had so much fun working with this staff!  Curriculum mapping can be an overwhelming process but I think the way I set everything up for them made it a huge success!  They are off to a great start and got a ton accomplished.   It was obvious these ladies are very passionate about their work with children and very open to new change and reflection.  We had so much fun, they even let me snap a few pictures of them in action!  Look how great they did!!

The entire day was super inspiring to me.  It confirmed my thoughts of wanting to work with teachers one day.  I realized I love working with teachers just as much as I love working with kids.  I adore the moment when I can share an idea with a teacher and I hear, “Oh my gosh, I never thought to do it that way!”  It completely warms my heart to leave a presentation or an in-service session and receive feedback that the time they spent was practical, useful, and engaging! I love knowing that by making a difference in a teacher’s life, I’m also making a difference in their students’ lives.  It doesn’t get any better than that! 🙂
I spent a lot of time cuddling with this little guy last night.  Wanna know why?!  It wasn’t because I was happy with him!  The school that I did the in-service for yesterday ordered boxed lunches from Panera (yum, by the way).  I didn’t eat my chocolate chip cookie at lunch, so I brought it home and set it on our kitchen table.  As I was getting ready to meet some friends for dinner, I heard a rustling sound downstairs.  This little cutie had gotten up on the kitchen table and had eaten the ENTIRE Panera chocolate chip cookie (including some of the wrapper)!   He didn’t look guilty – just super happy!!
Needless to say, I stuck around the house for awhile before leaving to make sure he wasn’t sick.  Luckily, he was just fine. 🙂
I have a new product in my TpT shop: “Think, Talk Teach! Daily Discussions for Little Learners!” This one might be a *favorite* of mine and I just know you and your students will LOVE using it to increase oral language skills and work on those key Common Core speaking and listening skills within your classroom!
I will do a full blog post on this new product to explain ALL about it to you early next week, but for now, here is the cover page! You can find it HERE or by clicking on the picture below!

Finally, this last one is a “teaser” for you! Let’s just say you’ll want to stop by my blog this Sunday to play a game with me! It involves a fun hop and some FREE games!! 🙂

Thanks for catching up on my week with me! I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!
See you on Sunday!!
