Earth Day Writing Pack! & Winners Announced!

Earth Day is right around the corner! Are you ready for it?  I like doing a little week on Earth Day with my kiddos each year.  I think the message is important for them to hear and understand.  Our students are truly the future of our planet and if they know how to care for it from a young age, we will all be in better shape! 🙂

We will be completing this little Earth Day pack in my classroom this week.  My students will be writing informational pieces about Earth Day after they read and research facts about different topics such as recycling, reducing, reusing, conserving energy, and ways to help keep our earth clean.  It also contains QR code posters, just like the cat and dog activity I talked about {HERE} with our new tablets.  If you don’t have tablets, you can still use the informational posters to get your students up and moving around the room as they research.

They will also complete an opinion piece and a fun post card writing activity.  A sorting activity, scrambled sentences, and other word work and writing center activities are included. Below shows you a glimpse of what is included in this Earth Day Writing Pack & Mini Unit {With QR Codes!}.

You can find this unit in my TpT shop by clicking {HERE}.  I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
I will give this little mini unit away for FREE to the first 5 people to leave a comment below.

In addition to Earth Day, it’s time to announce some winners!!

  1. Again you have such a great visual eye…the work looks so attractive it hardly feels like work to the students. Your students are so lucky to have you as a teacher. I love the way you integrated the QR codes AND included the traditional posters, too, for those of us who are working in the 19th century, technology-wise!
