An Elf for Santa Mini-Pack! & Cyber Sale!

Tonight I will be busy planning the month of December for my class.  I *love* Christmas lesson plans and like to make each week up until Christmas a special “theme.”  Here are my rough draft themes so far:
Week of November 26th – Persuasive Christmas Elves
Week of December 3rd  – Elf on the Shelf begins and Hot Chocolate Theme Day
Week of December 10th – Christmas Around the World
Week of December 17th – Finish Christmas Around the World Activities and a
                                              Rudolph/Reindeer theme day!
To go along with my theme for this coming week, I whipped up this little mini-unit yesterday while my husband was watching some football.  It is a 5 day mini-unit on persuasive writing. There are some great read alouds to  go with it!  Students will create a list of elf jobs, choose an elf job they want to be hired for at the North Pole, plan and write a persuasive letter, complete an official “Elf Resume” and even receive a congratulatory note from Santa at the end of the week that tells them they’ve been hired! They will end the unit by writing a final letter to Santa, telling him all about their “first day at work” in the North Pole.    I can’t wait to use this with my students this week!

The original price for this little mini-pack is only $2.50.  It is on sale tonight for only $2.00!   Click {HERE} to jump to my TpT store and check it out.  I’ll give this little persuasive pack away free to the first 5 followers who leave a comment with their email address.

While most teachers are spending their last few hours of Thanksgiving break relaxing, I’m filling my cart for the BIG TeachersPayTeachers Cyber Monday and Tuesday sale!  Are you?!  Tons of bloggers are hosting 20% off of all products, plus an additional 10% off the sale price from the TpT crew.  Click the button below to head to my store and check it out. (Enter Code: CMT12 at checkout to receive the additional 10% savings.)

  1. This looks fantastic…oh how I wish I'd been home earlier! We do a great job with narrative, but need extra practice with persuasive, which can be tricky to think of the reasons why you should do something.
