12 in ’12 Linky Party! :)

Tonight I’m linking up with Kristin from A Teeny Tiny Teacher and Hadar from Miss Kindergarten for their 12 in ’12 Linky Party!  Okay…here goes!
12. Favorite movie you watched:
This movie is not from 2012 but it remains my favorite!  It’s my go-to movie that I watch a least a couple times during the Christmas holiday and a few times throughout the year as well!
The Holiday
11. Favorite TV series:
This will sound cheesy but I love watching Dance Moms!  For many, many years as a kid and all through college, I studied jazz, tap, lyrical, and ballet on a competitive dance team. The show brings back so many memories! Fun Fact: When I was about twelve, the senior dance group at my studio competed against the Abby Lee Dance Studio in Pittsburgh.  Who knew at the time that we would see them on TV one day! 🙂
10. Favorite restaurant:
Wasabi – It’s a Japanese restaurant and soo good!
9. Favorite new thing you tried:
Blogging and TpT!  What an amazing ride these past 10 months have been! I have truly been blessed in this journey and have learned so much from all of you!
8. Favorite gift you got:
The necklace my husband surprised me with on our wedding day.  It has three little diamonds linked together, representing our “past, present, and future.”  Too sweet! 🙂
7. Favorite thing you pinned:
         One word:  Adorable!

6. Favorite blog post:
That one is easy!  I titled this post: A Little Reminder. I only had 4 comments on this post, but the quote I wrote about holds a personal and special meaning to me as a teacher.  It’s about an attitude in teaching that I try hard to remind myself of daily and carry out with my students and co-workers.
5. Best accomplishment:
I was very honored when I was asked to present a teaching workshop for our district’s technology/computer service association last summer.  It was SO fun!  I was just recently asked by a nearby Educational Service Center to present a few workshops on reading and Teacher Blogging this June!  It’s a big educator symposium that is connected to a bunch of districts in the county I previously taught in.  I’m excited to take on a new experience in education and be able to share with fellow teachers. 🙂
4. Favorite picture & 3. Favorite memory:
I have to combine these because my favorite picture is also all about my favorite memory!  My wedding day was such a special moment and 2012 definitely marked a milestone in my life!

2. Goal for 2013:
This season will be my last season as a cheerleading coach.  I’ve told my cheerleaders and my school already, and made it clear it is not because I do not love it.  I am simply ready to devote more time to my family and my classroom.  (I hope to also spend more time creating products and blogging with all of you!) 🙂

1. One Little Word:
Blessed.  2012 has been a major blessing in so many ways.  I’m so grateful and appreciative of all of the opportunities and experiences it has brought with it.
Now before I say I’m ready for 2013, I’m going to need to get through this next crazy week before Christmas break!  Haha my kids are definitely getting anxious.  Today I had to tell my kids that our “plane” we’ve been on for our Christmas Around the World trip was taking an emergency landing. They were soo chatty!  I had to explain that their pilot was not going to China today due to the insane chattiness technical issues. (In all fairness, I also got so carried away with doing DRA’s that I lost track of time.) I am now really wishing I hadn’t done that since now we have to make it to China and Canada all in one day tomorrow…
Maybe there will be a layover so I can take a nap.  ðŸ™‚
