Today, I feel like the Pigeon.
I left school on Friday without having any lesson plans done for this week (gasp). No really, gasp. It’s the first time I’d done that in 5 years. I felt a.w.f.u.l. Flu-awful. Crawl under your covers, drink 7-Up, no appetite, snuggle with the dog awful. Saturday was not any better and Sunday I found myself at the Urgent Care with a diagnosis of a sinus infection, ear infection, and fever. Yuck.
But like you, I’m a teacher. I would rather drag myself out of bed than write sub plans. So, I went to work and threw together all of the lesson plans I created on my couch this weekend. Bonus: I’m getting a new student tomorrow morning. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy and will welcome this student into our room with open arms. But getting materials together for a new student, and being sick and scatter-brained because of it, made me want to put Mo Willems’ pigeon speech bubble over my head: The Teacher Has Feelings, Too!
On a better note, I did manage to post my November Word Builders Freebie pack. You can download it by clicking {HERE} or clicking the picture below.
I also posted a product I created for the kindergarten teachers in my building. A couple of them are starting small group instruction in math this year and are looking for math centers and games their kinders can do. This is a pack of 12 board games for number identification up to 120. The games are based on the popular Race to 100 game and are progressive throughotu the year, with a cute theme each month. This pack is Common Core Correlated for first grade but would be a great way to introduce and get kinders ready! The entire year’s pack of boards is only $3.00. Grab it in my store by clicking the picture below. 🙂 I’ll give this game pack away free to the first 5 followers who comment on this post. 🙂 Leave your email address so I can send it to you!
Finally, I’ve linked up with Farley at Oh’ Boy 4th Grade for her November Currently linky.

You poor thing! I hope the weekend has done you some good, and that you're taking care of yourself…you're right – I'd rather be puking in the teachers' lounge than write sub plans! I was out for three days last week with my little one, and returned Friday for Scarecrow Day. Yikes! Thankfully, yesterday was a teacher workday for us, so I could clean up, find what the kids had done with 4 different subs, and sweep hay off the floor! Love your blog – cuteness everywhere!
