Wordless Wednesday November 19th: Turkey Beginnings
If you use or have seen Whole Brain Teaching in action, I don’t even have to explain why I adore, love, admire, appreciate, respect, and can’t-live-without-it….
Hi Friends! For today’s “Wordless Wednesday,” I’m sharing a BEFORE and AFTER pic of my teacher desk! On the last teacher work day in May, I…
I thought I would take a little break from educational apps for this week’s Weekend App Attack and tell you about a few little Christmas apps…
Our spring break fell the week before Easter, so my kiddos and I barely had time to get through St. Patrick’s Day, let alone do any…

I love narrative writing because it gives students a chance to use their imaginations and let us into their world that they are creating inside. Love your link-up every week.

The Dots of Teaching
I love them all! In regards to your question, is that cheating? Do I have to pick only one? 😉 I say "all of them" because they allow me to see the different aspects of each child's writing abilities. Thanks for hosting the link up! I gave a shout-out reminder of the link up on my IG account. 😉
Literacy Loving Gals
I do like them all and while I'm looking forward to seeing the instructions my class are about to write I think I like narrative best. They always come up with such sweet and surprising ideas that are all so different!
Growing Little Learners
I prefer informative writing while my students prefer narratives. I like the structure and factual, detail focus rather than the imaginative, creative story focus. Now when it comes to reading… I'm all about the narrative… never mind informational reading! Blech! LOL!
Off to check out more Wordless Wednesdays…. LOVE this linky! Thanks for hosting it!

Great start to a story! I like all of them really. If I had to pick one, I think it would be informative. I love seeing the words they come up with to tell me facts about the topics we have been studying. In kinder they can't always remember those "big" scientific words so it can be quite comical. Thanks for hosting this great linky!

Confessions of a Tiny Teacher
Narrative is fun to see the kiddos "creative" side, informational is "easier" for them, but I LOVE to see the progress from beg. of the year to the end! Wendy 1stgradefireworks@gmail.com 1stgradefireworks
Persuasive – I ask my students to persuade me to let them have a special day (e.g., movie day, pj day, gum day) I get my best work out of them during this writing focus
